A lifelong relationship with designing original product from concept to construction is the backbone of my vibrant and sophisticated style. That relationship was the driving force toward my formal education where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Apparel and Textile Design from Michigan State University. My education equipped me to continue into my career working in product development at the corporate level where I diversified my design abilities to meet the needs of the markets at hand.

The Apparel and Textile Design program at Michigan State University emphasizes creativity and experimentation that mingles design with art. Students combine fine art, couture and technical design to create original garments. This program focused on avant-garde design rooted in the fundamentals of fine art. Through these teachings I learned how to develop a design concept, translate that concept into sketches, and bring those sketches to life into the final garment.
